My answers to Muslim accusations against Christianity #2

1. Why Christians eat pork when it is prohibited in Torah? (Deuteronomy 14:8)

Read: Why Christians eat pork

2. Why Christian women don’t cover their heads when it is commanded in Corinthians 11:5-6?

[1 Corinthians 11:5-6] And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for it is just as if her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, let her hair be cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.

ANSWER. The verse merely says that a woman should cover her head when she prays because it dishonor her head, for it is just as if her head were shaved. It doesn’t say that a woman should cover her head when she goes around the public as the Muslim woman does, because men might be attracted to her sexually. Besides, a Muslim woman is commanded to cover not only her head, but her whole body except the eyes. This means that to cover their heads alone is not Islamic, kindly read;

[Sahih Bukhari 1:4:148, Sahih Bukhari 8:74:257, & Hadith No. 148, Vol. 1]

Narrated ‘Aisha: The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. ‘Umar used to say to the Prophet “Let your wives be veiled,” but Allah’s Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam’a the wife of the Prophet went out at ‘Isha’ time and she was a tall lady. ‘Umar addressed her and said, “I have recognized you, O Sauda.” He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of “Al-Hijab” (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

COMMENT: This hadith tells us that it was Umar who urged Muhammad to cover his wives. And amazingly, the god of Muhammad granted his wish. In Christianity, there’s no compulsion for women to cover their heads while praying. God also commands us to worship Him in spirit (mind and heart) and not by the food, dress, appearance, or gesture.

3. Why Christians don’t fall facedown while praying when Jesus did it? (Matthew 26:39)

[Matthew 26:39] “Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”

ANSWER: Firstly, the meaning of the idiom ”fall face down” is ”to lay one’s body flat on the ground or floor with the face downward”. It’s not to kiss one’s forehead on the ground while raising your buttocks to the air as Muslims do. In the Bible, God’s people prayed either in prostrate or kneeling position. Secondly, whether you fall facedown or kneel while praying, it doesn’t matter to God. What more important is the contents of your heart and mind. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit [Deuteronomy 6:5 & John 4:24]. An action cannot transform your personality, feeling, thought, or Faith. If Jesus was really a Muslim, Muhammad should have followed his commandments. Jesus teaches to love all people including your enemy, don’t kill a man, don’t steal, forgive your fellow 77 times, marry only one wife and don’t divorce her. Muhammad taught and practiced the opposite of what Jesus teaches in the Bible.

4. Why Christians don’t remove their shoes during prayer though God required it? (Exodus 3:5)

[Exodus 3:5] “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

ANSWER: An action or gesture doesn’t make you a true believer. God wants us to worship Him in spirit (mind and heart). If a Muslim kneels while praying, it cannot make him a Christian. Moses took off his sandals in response to the commandment of God and to show respect to His presence, and not because he was going to pray. You can pray to God anytime and anywhere whether you wear footgear or not. On the part of Islam, there is no holiness in its center of worhip. The Kaabah was the worship house of the pagans in the past, it contained 360 idols in pre-Islamic time. Even Muhammad did not look at Kaabah as holy for he killed an ex-Muslim inside it.

5. Jesus said “do not worship me” (Revelation 22:9)

[Revelation 22: 9] But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

ANSWER: The verse in Revelation 22:9 is not the words of Jesus but it came from an angel. Kindly read its preceding statement (verse 8), it says;

[Revelation 22:8] And I am John, who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things.

Next time, check the verses first before raising it, ok? You Muslims don’t seek the truth, you’re just out there trying all you can to discredit the Bible. I will show you a verse from the Book of Revelation that Jesus claimed Godhood;

[Revelation 21:6-7] He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

6. Jesus cannot be compared to God because he’s born of a woman (Job 25:4)

[Job 25:4] “How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?

ANSWER: Yes it’s true but the question is, was Jesus an ordinary man? Both Christianity and Islam teach that Jesus was born without a human father. He claimed that he went out from the father and came down from heaven. When Jesus stayed in Mary’s womb, it’s not him who became unclean by a woman (Mary), but rather it was Mary who became purified because Jesus is our purifier. Why is it that in Islam Jesus is the Judge of mankind if He’s a mere man? Isn’t only the king can judge in a kingdom? No doubt,  Jesus is God in Islam.

7. Jesus cannot be God because God is not a human being (Numbers 23.19)

King James Bible
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

New International Version
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

ANSWER: Put in mind that God is spirit, He is an unapproachable light, energy/power, and wisdom. Can energy be distributed? Yes it can, the electricity for example can spread or distribute itself. Every nation uses electricity, these electricities are separated yet they are one nature. God can pour His spirit upon all flesh [Joel 2:28]. He can send His spirit though he is present everywhere pls. read;

[Psalm 104:30] You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the earth.

: Notice also that the sent spirit is a creator, Jesus was the creator of the universe. Kindly read;

[Colossians 1:16] For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

: Jesus claimed that he came down from Heaven and was sent by the Father (source spirit). He says;

[John 6:38] For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me.

: Jesus was a portion of God’s spirit that came down on Earth and took a human form. I will show verses telling Jesus is one with the Father;

[Isaiah 9:6] ”For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

[John 10:30]. Jesus said; I and the Father are one

[John 14:9-10] Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?

The human body was just the vessel of the sent forth spirit of God. Jesus claimed that the spirit of God dwelt in him, and that made him God also.

READ: The Spirit of God dwelt in Jesus

Additionally, you quoted [Numbers 23:19] telling God won’t tell a lie, is your Allah truthful? Isn’t he the best of deceivers? [Quran 3:54]. The Bible says that Satan is the father of deceptions [John 8:44] the same attribute as your Allah.
