It is not true that Allah is one as the Muslims keep asserting and boasting. Allah is ‘Tawhid‘ which means unification or unity. Allah is not one being but one group of gods . In Quran, Allah keep using the plural pronoun We, Our, and US proving that They are more than one.
1. [Sahih Muslim 23b] Abu Malik narrated on the authority of his father that he heard the Apostle say: He who held belief in the unity of Allah, and then narrated what has been stated above.
2. [Sahih al-Bukhari 6643] Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: A man heard another man reciting: Surat-ul-Ikhlas (The Unity) ‘Say: He is Allah, the One (112) and he was repeating it. The next morning he came to Allah’s Messenger and mentioned the whole story to him as if he regarded the recitation of that Sura as insufficient On that, Allah’s Messenger said, “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! That (Sura No. 112) equals one-third of the Qur’an.”
3. [Sunan Abi Dawud 1909] The tradition has also been transmitted by Jabir through a different chain of narrators. He narrated this tradition and added the words “he recited in two rak’ahs the surah relating to Unity of Allaah” and “Say, O disbelievers” to the Qur’anic verse “And take the station of Abraham as a place of prayer. “. This version has ‘Ali said in Kufah. The narrator said “My father said Jabir did not say these words. I went to complain (against Fatimah). He then narrated the story of Fatimah.”
4. [Mishkat al-Masabih 2322] Ibn ‘Umar said: “Glory be to God” is the prayer of the creatures; “Praise be to God” is the word of thanksgiving; “There is no god but God” is the sentence which declares belief in God’s unity; and “God is most great” fills the space between heaven and earth. When a servant says, “There is no might and no power except in God”, God says, “He has resigned and submitted himself to me.”
5. [Mishkat al-Masabih 2415] ‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Abza told that God’s messenger used to say in the morning, “We have reached the morning following the original religion of Islam, the assertion of God’s unity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad, and the rite of our father Abraham who was a hanif and was not one of the polytheists.” [cf. Qur’an, ii. 135; iii, 95; vi, 161; xvi, 123.]
7. [Mishkat al-Masabih 2555] “. . . God’s messenger then prayed in the mosque, and after he had mounted al-Qaswa’ and his she-camel stood erect with him on its back at al-Baida’, he raised his voice declaring God’s unity and saying, “Labbaik, O God, labbaik labbaik; . . . “
8. [Mishkat al-Masabih 2267] “. . . When the people separate they ascend up to heaven, and God who knows best asks them where they have come from. They reply, “We have come from Thy servants on the earth who are extolling and magnifying Thee, declaring Thy unity, praising Thee and making request of Thee.” He says, “For what are they asking me?” and they reply, “They are asking Thee for Thy paradise. . . .”
9. [Sunan Abi Dawud 1905] “. . . The Apostle of Allaah was among us, the Qur’an was being revealed to him and he knew its interpretation. Whatever he did, we did it. The Apostle of Allaah then raised his voice declaring Allaah’s unity and saying “Labbaik ( I am at thy service), O Allaah, labbaik, labbaik, Thou hast no partner praise and grace are Thine and the Dominion. . . ”
