Rebelling against God, Biblical verses


  1. [Genesis 27:40] You shall live by the sword and serve your brother. But when you rebel, you will tear his yoke from your neck.”
  2. [Exodus 23:21] Pay attention to him and listen to his voice; do not defy him, for he will not forgive rebellion, since My Name is in him.
  3. [Exodus 32:9] Then the LORD said, “I have seen how stubborn and rebellious these people are.

He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved
  11. [1 Timothy 1:9] We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers,

  14. [Titus 1:6] An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
  15. [Titus 1:10] For many are rebellious and full of empty talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision,

  18. [1 John 2:22-23] Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
  19. [1 John 4:3] but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
  20. [2 John 1:9] Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son
  21. [Jude 1:11] What sorrow awaits them! For they follow in the footsteps of Cain, who killed his brother. Like Balaam, they deceive people for money. And like Korah, they perish in their rebellion.
  22. [Revelation 13:7] And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
  23. [Revelation 19:20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
