Proofs that the Roman Catholic Church was founded by Jesus

1.) THE ISRAELITES BROKE THE OLD COVENANT, THUS GOD MADE A NEW COVENANT WHICH IS THE EVERLASTING COVENANT

•[Jeremiah 31:31-32] “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.  

•[Ezekiel 16:60] Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish unto you an everlasting covenant

2.) GOD PROMISED THAT HE WILL SEND A MESSENGER TO BRING THE NEW COVENANT 

•[Psalm 89:28] “My loving kindness I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall be confirmed to him.

•[Malachi 3:1] And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts

3.) GOD SAID THAT IT IS HIS SON THAT WILL BUILD HIS KINGDOM ON EARTH, AND NO ONE ELSE  

•[1 Chronicles 17:12-14] He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever. 

•[2 Samuel 7:13-14] He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. 

4.) THE KINGDOM OR CHURCH TO BE BUILT ON EARTH IS FOR ETERNITY. MEANING THE CHURCH FOUNDED BY JESUS IS THE ETERNAL OR HEAVENLY KINGDOM

(Aramaic Bible in Plain English) “He built His holy place upon the height and He prepared it in the earth for eternity. 

(Brenton Septuagint Translation) And he built his sanctuary as the place of unicorns; he founded it forever on the earth.

•[2 Peter 1:11] and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

5.) THE SON (JESUS) BROUGHT THE NEW COVENANT TO EARTH 

•[Luke 22:20] In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

•[Matthew 26:28] This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

6.) JESUS FOUNDED HIS CHURCH ON SIMON PETER AND APPOINTED HIM AS THE HEAD OF HIS CHURCH ON EARTH. JESUS GAVE PETER THE KEYS (AUTHORITY) WHO TO ADMIT OR NOT TO ADMIT IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

•[Matthew 16:18-19] “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 

COMMENT:

“. . . and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it . . .” what are these gates of hades that cannot overcome the Church founded by Jesus? These are the bogus religions that if you enter them, you will end up in hell. This word of Jesus assures that his Church cannot be corrupted or defeated by Satanic forces contrary to the accusation of the man-made churches against the Catholic Church. God also said He won’t change His word and mind, thus to accuse the Catholic Church as corrupted is to accuse God of being a liar. And also, this word of Jesus proves true since the Catholic Church has been the dominant religion until now. 

“. . . Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Jesus entrusted the keys (authority) of his Heavenly kingdom to his Earthly kingdom which is the Catholic Church. It means that the salvation of all people is in the hands of the Catholic church. The Catholic Church is the gate of Heavenly kingdom. 

•[John 21:15-17] When they had finished eating, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he answered, “You know I love You.” Jesus replied, “Feed My lambs. Jesus asked a second time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” “Yes, Lord,” he answered, “You know I love You.” Jesus told him, “Shepherd My sheep.” Jesus asked a third time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was deeply hurt that Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love Me?” “Lord, You know all things,” he replied. “You know I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep”. 

•[Luke 22:32] But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers 

COMMENT: The above verses John 21:15-17 & Luke 22:32 are proofs that Peter (the head of the Catholic Church) was the one apointed by Jesus to head His Church on Earth. 

7.) PETER APPOINTED IGNATIUS AS OVERSEER OR BISHOP OF ANTIOCH. IGNATIUS WAS ALSO ONE OF THE DISCIPLES OF JOHN THE BELOVED ALONG WITH HIS FRIEND (POLYCARP) 

•[Ignatius of Antioch, WIKIPEDIA] “. . .  Ignatius converted to Christianity at a young age. Tradition identifies Ignatius, along with his friend Polycarp, as disciples of John the Apostle. Later in his life, Ignatius was chosen to serve as Bishop of Antioch; the fourth-century Church historian Eusebius writes that Ignatius succeeded Evodius. Theodoret of Cyrrhus claimed that St. Peter himself left directions that Ignatius be appointed to the episcopal see of Antioch. . . ” 

•[Saint Ignatius, NEW ADVENT] “. . . It is also believed, and with great probability, that, with his friend Polycarp, he was among the auditors of the Apostle St. John. If we include St. Peter, Ignatius was the third Bishop of Antioch and the immediate successor of Evodius (Eusebius, Church History II.3.22). Theodoret (“Dial. Immutab.”, I, iv, 33a, Paris, 1642) is the authority for the statement that St. Peter appointed Ignatius to the See of Antioch. . . ”  

8.) SAINT IGNATIUS CALLED THE EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH AS “CATHOLIC CHURCH”

9.) THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ORIGINAL OR OLDEST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

To those who left the Roman Catholic Church, you are no longer part of God’s Church or Kingdom, thus you will go to Hell;

[1 Timothy 4:1] Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons

[2 Timothy 4:3-4] For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths

[1 John 2:19] This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 

To those who will enter the Kingdom in some other way (Church not founded by Jesus) are thieves and robbers 

[John 10:1] “Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber. 

The Churches founded by men are gates of Hell 

[Matthew 16:18] And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
